Confident close-up smile after porcelain veneer treatment
01 Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers in Downey.

Custom-designed smiles, hand-crafted by Dr. Hadis Reyhani, built to look natural and last for years.

02 What are porcelain veneers

A new smile, designed around you.

Porcelain veneers are thin, custom-shaped shells of medical-grade ceramic that bond to the front surface of your teeth. They cover stains, gaps, chips, and irregular shapes, instantly transforming the appearance of your smile while preserving most of your natural tooth structure underneath.

Each veneer is designed individually for your face, your smile line, and your personality. We do not use stock veneer shapes. Dr. Hadis Reyhani works with master ceramists to design veneers that look like the teeth you wish you had been born with: natural, balanced, and uniquely yours.

Most veneer cases involve 6 to 10 teeth (the visible front teeth when you smile) and are completed in two to three appointments over the course of three to four weeks. Properly cared for veneers can last 15 to 20 years or more.

Porcelain veneers are the most transformative cosmetic dentistry option available. They correct multiple issues at once: whitening, alignment, shape, and proportion in a way that no other treatment can match. For patients who want a complete smile makeover, veneers are often the right answer.

03 What They Fix

What porcelain veneers can correct.

Veneers solve multiple cosmetic concerns at once, often eliminating the need for multiple separate treatments.

  • Stained or discolored teeth

Veneers cover deep stains and discoloration that whitening cannot remove, including stains from medication, fluorosis, or trauma.

  • Chipped or worn teeth

Restore the shape and length of teeth chipped from accidents, grinding, or normal wear over time.

  • Gaps between teeth

Close small to moderate gaps without orthodontic treatment, often in just a few weeks.

  • Crooked or misaligned teeth

Visually straighten mildly crooked teeth without braces or aligners. For more significant alignment issues, we may recommend Invisalign first.

  • Uneven tooth size or shape

Create symmetry and proportion by reshaping teeth that are too small, too large, or oddly shaped.

  • A smile that has aged

Reverse the appearance of aging by restoring teeth to fuller, brighter, more youthful proportions.

05 Is it right for you

Veneers work for adults with healthy smiles.

Porcelain veneers are an investment in your smile, and like any investment, they work best when the foundation is solid. Most adults with healthy teeth and gums are excellent candidates.

  • Adults with healthy gums and no untreated decay
  • Patients with strong tooth enamel, since some enamel removal is required for placement
  • Non-grinders, or patients willing to wear a night guard to protect their veneers
  • Patients with realistic expectations about the cosmetic transformation
  • Patients who have completed any necessary orthodontic or restorative treatment
  • Patients seeking a long-term cosmetic solution rather than a temporary fix

If you grind your teeth, have active gum disease, or have significant decay, we will address those issues first before recommending veneers. The goal is a smile that lasts, not a quick fix that fails in two years.

06 The Process

Your veneer journey, step by step.

From smile design to final placement, typically 3 to 4 weeks total.

  1. Smile Design Consultation

Free initial consultation with Dr. Reyhani. We discuss your goals, examine your teeth, and use digital smile design software to show you a preview of your future smile before any work begins. You see exactly what is possible.

  2. Tooth Preparation

At the first treatment appointment, a thin layer of enamel is removed from the front of each tooth receiving a veneer. Digital impressions are captured. You leave with high-quality temporary veneers that protect your teeth and let you preview your new smile.

  3. Custom Fabrication

Your veneers are crafted by a master ceramist using your impressions, smile design, and shade preferences. This process takes 2 to 3 weeks. Each veneer is hand-finished to match your natural teeth in shape, color, and translucency.

  4. Final Placement

At the final appointment, your custom veneers are bonded permanently to your teeth using strong dental adhesive. Final adjustments are made for fit and bite. The transformation is immediate and dramatic.

  5. Aftercare & Maintenance

You receive detailed home care guidance and a custom night guard if recommended. Routine cleanings every 6 months protect your investment. With proper care, your veneers will look natural and beautiful for 15 to 20 years.

07 Common questions

Questions about porcelain veneers?

A smile makeover is a meaningful decision. We answer every question honestly so you can make the right one.

Ask a Question
  • With proper care, porcelain veneers typically last 15 to 20 years or longer. The veneers themselves are highly durable and stain-resistant. Lifespan depends on how well you care for them. Routine cleanings, avoiding habits like nail-biting or chewing on hard objects, and wearing a night guard if you grind your teeth all extend the lifespan significantly. Some patients have veneers that have lasted 25 years or more.

  • Modern porcelain veneers, when properly designed and crafted by a skilled ceramist, are virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth. They reflect light the same way real enamel does, can be matched to your natural tooth color or made brighter as you prefer, and are individually shaped to suit your face. Poorly designed veneers look fake. Well-designed veneers are invisible as veneers.

  • The veneer placement process is comfortable for most patients. Tooth preparation involves removing a thin layer of enamel, which is done under local anesthesia and is not painful. Some mild sensitivity to hot and cold is common for a few days after preparation while you wear temporaries. Once the final veneers are placed, sensitivity typically resolves quickly. We use sedation options for patients who prefer to be deeply relaxed during the procedure.

  • Veneer cost depends on how many teeth are being treated, the complexity of the case, and the laboratory fees for your specific veneers. Most veneer cases involve 6 to 10 teeth. We offer flexible financing through CareCredit and walk you through a clear cost breakdown at your free consultation. Many patients invest in veneers as part of a long-term cosmetic plan, often with phased treatment.

  • Veneers are typically considered cosmetic and are not covered by most dental insurance plans. However, in cases where a tooth is damaged or structurally compromised, a veneer may be covered as a restorative treatment. We verify your specific benefits and discuss financing options at your consultation so you have a complete picture before committing.

  • Most veneer cases involve the teeth visible when you smile, typically 6 to 10 upper teeth. Some patients need only 4 (the front incisors), while others want a full smile makeover including 10 teeth on top and 6 on the bottom. The right number depends on your smile line, your goals, and which teeth show when you smile and laugh. We design your treatment around your specific smile, not a one-size-fits-all package.

  • Because a thin layer of enamel is removed during veneer placement, the process is generally not reversible. Once you have veneers, you will need veneers (or another restoration like crowns) to protect those teeth permanently. This is why the planning phase is so important. We use digital smile design to show you exactly what your veneers will look like before we ever touch your teeth.

  • Care for veneers exactly like natural teeth. Brush twice daily, floss daily, and visit us every 6 months for cleanings. Avoid biting hard objects (ice, fingernails, pens) and consider wearing a night guard if you grind your teeth. Most patients find that veneers actually motivate them to take better care of their smile, which is a long-term win.
